I just ordered a Sharp LC-37GD6U. Looking at the manual (available online) Sharp says they reccommend a 4" clearance from the back of the TV to the wall...when table-mounted on its stand. When wall mounting with a compatible bracket one would have less than 4" rear clearance. The Sharp also has fans in the rear. Can someone who has wall-mounted their Sharp 37" comment?

I have my LC-37GD4U wall-mounted using a Peerless mount that holds the TV about 1.25" from the wall. I can feel heat at the top of the TV, but it has plenty of room to dissipate so I'm not worried about it. I haven't noticed any ill effects.

Matt-

For you information, I had an LC-37GD4U on order from two different onlone retailers. One just said it wasn't in stock, the other said it had been discontinued. I had to call several dealers to find the LC-37GD6U.

Do you have yours mounted with the speakers attached?

The GD4U went out of stock at a lot of places a few days after I bought mine. The prices just after Christmas were really good, so I guess there was a run on them.

I don't have the speakers attached. Part of why I bought this model was that it has removable speakers. I use inwall speakers. I wanted a set-up that takes no floor space at all.
