LED Dimmer for Star Ceiling

397 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Todd_zilla
Lisalynn had talked about using LED's for a light source for a fiber/star ceiling.

Lisalynn or anyone else.... What type power requirements are needed. I want to hook one up to a Grafik Eye as a Zone.

So I guess I'm looking for a 120v transformer to be able to dim it down as/if needed??

Any ideas?

I really like the aspect of low heat and length of life on the bulb(s). The color does more realistically match the night sky too..

Thanks in advance!

We use a 5v. DC power supply, and hook up our setting on the Graffik Eye to be aa on/off setting.

To dim LEDs you use a trim pot which is varies the resistance, not the voltage. I have not heard of an interface that can be used with the Graffik eye to dim LEDs, but I'm sure someone is working on it.

Do I have a market for a twinkling LED starfield illuminator?
