Just rented L4D and haven't quite figured out when/how it saves. I played each chapter of the 'No Mercy' campaign, yet did not get the achievement for doing so. Do I have to play it straight through without stopping? Seems a little much.


When does this game save? Is there a way to save in the middle of a chapter?

It's an online multiplayer game. There is no saving.

You'll have to play it all in one sitting. As for saving Valve uses a similar achievement/data tracker used in the Orange Box. You can checkout your stats on the main menu under achievements.
