after reading posts on here ive decided to piece together a good 5.1 system instead of going low budget from the start. I have the pioneer 1019 receiver coming and now looking for front left, center, right, to start out with and build from there. looking for best speakers for under 500 for all 3. cant be towers so looking at bookshelf that can be mounted and probably go against the wall, or on mounts, to left and right of tv, looking to mount the center above tv(50" plasma). room is 12X14 and majority of listening will be tv/movies. looking to order something asap so as always your expert help will be greatly appreciated...

i like the energy FPS speakers, would 3 of them be better than say 2 energy rc-10's and one FPS for center?

I don't know if they would be "better", but 3 FPS units would be a perfect match for each other. The RC-10's and FPS may, or may not, timbre match. The Energy RC-LCR is the manufacturer's match for the RC-10's.

thanks for the reply, do you have these speakers? can anybody comment on how these sound for tv/movies? any other suggestions for under 500? i like the FPS speakers just dont know anything about them or cant find many reviews on them...

I also have the Infinity TSS-1100 , same as the TSS-1200. If you look hard, they can be found for around $500.
