Was the Jay Leno aircraft carrier piece on last night and tonight in HD; it was widescreen but it kinda looked like an upconvert, though a well done one.


(BTW it was a nice segment about these young men and women who are putting their lives on the line for us).

i saw the typical artifacting on NBC HD(the camera guys dont know they are holding HD cameras) but the image quality looked similar to the studio.

The scenes below deck were shot with a high-def camera, but the exterior shots of the planes taking off were not Tonight, they're supposed to show more.

I recorded it on 11/8 but had some sort

of problem where the video went out

(sound only) during the whole

aircraft carrier segment and then

again when the animal trainer was on.


Funny this was that video would come back

on during the commericals (!).


Did anyone else notice problems with Leno

on KRON on 11/8?
