My wife had TiVo'd a program on PBS (Best Sellers: 3 Southern Writers) and was watching it when I came in. It was SD, but an aspect ratio that looked like 2.35:1. I have a Pio 503CMX with a Aurora A-303 card. Have not noticed any of this kind of thing before.
What kind of programing results in this kind of picture on my Pio that is normally stretched and has no bars?
Letterboxing is present in the 4:3 signal, so you'll have to zoom it (stretch modes will stretch the black bars as well). Even still, greater than 1.85 aspect ratios won't fill your screen vertically.
