Lexicon DC-1 conversion needed...help!

951 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Brian B
Hello,

Can any of you direct us to have our DC-1 processor updated to the 4.0 version?

We obtained it used from a party from ebay...quite reasonable in price. It's the full blown 2.0 version and it has the THX, Dolby Digital AC-3 and DTS options.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Frank...

AV Science sells the easy to install upgrade. For $100 you get the new software and the new remote. Look in the AVS QuikStore under Audio Processors.

I thought 100 was for the EX upgrade only and the remote/eprom was 295. Just from what I read, that is how it appears. Is that not accurate?

Lex
Right now you can get the full upgrade thing for $100.00.

David, Mark,

Thank you for your most valuable help.

$100 for the 3.0/4.0 conversion? Wow...we're there! Got to go and talk to Alan...

My favorite new feature is Bass Enhance; biggest improvement to bass sound quality that I've had.

Noah,

Boy, we ordered the 4.0 update just in time!

Tom Vodhanel highly recommended the upgrade due to the inclusion of the bass enhancement you state you like. It must be something else, and will be eagerly awaiting to hear the results after we get our DC-1 up to snuff.

Thanks to all of you who so kindly responded to our cries of help! What a great Forum...

Hi Brian...

It is just a selection of the setting you want to use. Just like selection Logic 7 vs Church (ow what have you.).

Quick question:

On DC-1/2 w/ EX is it easily defeatable if you decide you want to use the Logic 7 instead?

Thanks,

Brian
