Lexicon DC-2 and 96/24

398 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Bernd
Does anyone know if the digital inputs on the Lex DC-2 support 96/24. I am considering buying one of the new Digital Connection Pro Audio Cards for my HTPC, and these cards output 96/24 to the surround processor, but this is of course only useful if the surround processor accepts and does not downconvert 96/24.

Thanks,

Bernd

This unit will not accept a 96/24 digital feed. The only way to pass the 96/24 information through the DC2 is to feed the analog inputs and output through zone2. This process avoids AD conversion inside the DC2 and will pass the analog outputs of the sound card unprocessed through the zone2 output (assuming you choose "analog" as your output selection for "zone2/rec" in the setup, which is the default).
Thanks Dave and Don,

Pardon the followup, but I am new at this. The Lex is connected to seven Marantz mon-blocks and a sub. I am confused as to how to connect the DC-Pro Audio card to this setup and make DD/DTD and CD-Audio all work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
