This is what I heard a while ago from Meridian officials. Lexicon needs a unit that is similar in function to the Theta Casablanca II and the Meridian 861.

Lexicon MC-1 Replacement on it's way???
I see alot of place selling their demo stock and the prices on new units dropping. The MC-1 can be had for $3500 without looking very hard.

Just called them to ask about the new sound formats and I also asked about the rumoured replacement for the MC-1 and he said "I don't know about any replacement, but Im not going to say there won't be one by the end of the year".
