Hi Guys!

How good is Lexicon RT-10 with SDI as it has better analog section? I currently have Denon 2900 with SDI output & to me the picture looks sharper & cleaner than the dvd players with HDMI output. I am planning to use it with IScan VP-30. I am planning to connect it to the processor with AES/EBU output. Is there any difference sonically between coaxial digital & AES/EBU output?

Thanks.

The 2900 has a better MPEG decoder, so better picture quality and responsiveness. It's one of the best SDI players.

One would assume that the Lexicon would be hansomely better as far as analogue audio goes.

Balanced audio doesn't matter as much with digital, unless you have some serious interferance problems or something. I think AES/EBU has marginally lower levels of jitter than SPDIF, but it's anyone's guys whether one would be able to tell the difference.
