Thanks, guys. That helps a lot. And, no, I won't be overpaying again for a Monster cable. I'll probably get one of the Mediabridge cables Amazon is pitching.
Currently, we're using
matching 15" Mediabridge subwoofer cables . Delivered, two day Prime membership on Amazon, $9.99. Quality build at a great, two-day delivered price. We also use their RCA "Y" splitters which are a lot of quality, delivered, manufacturing effort, for $9.99.
Check it out, in the case of the 15' subwoofer cables.......three hundred and forty-three reviews and only five complaint reviews of one or two stars. In my book, that's a lot of happy campers.
Just to be philosophically fair,
Belkin has a nice Prime delivered substitution, looking far better then cheapie RCA equivalents.
Delivered for a tad bit more than the price of a shot of casino bar Tequila, tip not included.
I paid five bucks for a shot of Casino provided and with standard bar tip, these cables are basically the same price as a "measured" (oh, come on, you're kidding) shot and better looking then the server.
The point, at these prices, I can validate buying Mediabridge subwoofer cables but I can't validate buying five dollar shots of Casino provided Tequila.
(out of fairness, please make note how the number of complaint reviews have increased as the price drop)
Belkin has 9.3% worth of complaints vs 1.5% worth of complaints filed against Mediabridge cables. In my opinion, the above difference qualifies as statistically significant.
