LFM-1 or VTF-2 MK 2 for music?

I have the Ascend Acoustics CBM-170's with an onkyo tx sr602 and want to get a sub for music which will be tighter the LFM-1 or VTF-2 MK 2?

I think the LFM-1 is the better sub. It has a similar design to the VTF-2 but it has a larger 12" driver.

The Outlaw LFM-1 is a great sub. It is much more similar overall to the STF-3 than the VTF-2 MKII. Outlaw also did a great job with the styling of the unit, with a slick plexiglass top. I am sure you will enjoy it!

Peter- is the turbocharger going to be able to fit on the LFM1? Prob not since the ports are downward firing right?

Exactly, you answered your own question! :D That said, there are some advantages to downfiring ports. For one, you can place the subwoofer even closer to the wall than with rear firing ports. Two, port noise is particularly hard to detect because of absorption by the surface below. Three, there should never be an issue with objects being placed inside the ports by kids!
