I always try to run my new panel on 4 hour increments over the first 100 hours so it has maximum auto cycles and then run a few manual ones too.
You would think that's more then enough

So after hours of Expedition 33 gaming today, I started off using FMM because I thought it was brighter. But it was way too bright. Got a headache after awhile. I’ve settled on game optimizer mode with DTM On, Expression Enhancer Detail, Native color. View attachment 3762439

Those look way better than the first batch you posted. The first batched looked a little washed out. These look like they have more depth and color.

The brightness on this TV playing PS5 Pro in HDR is insane smh. And it doesn’t dim at all!! If it does it’s barely noticeable. Crazy how it’s so bright but doesn’t dim in the slightest. I’m using FMM to play as I feel in game optimizer mode it lessens the overall picture quality.
Did you move the TV up on the SANUS stand?

Yo, these numbers are freaking insane for a gen on gen bump!! Wow

For context, they scored the G5 brightness higher than the Bravia 9! And 430nits full screen on an OLED?! (Their G4 sample was only 224nits 100% window)

The HDR Color volume is a virtual match for the A95L!! (The G4 was only 39%!)

Super impressive stuff from LG!

As promised, here are our updated HDR Brightness measurements

Slight variations in all window sizes, but the 10% especially changed significantly after the third cycle. We also gave the TV more time between each slide to cool down a bit more and make sure we weren't overheating it or anything. We did measure the brightness over time as well and found that there's no thermal throttling, just the normal ASBL that we'd expect to see with any OLED.
Why can't the tv hit the brightness target for hallway lights?

Yes because it was insanely bright in FMM with DTM on lol. Like it’s hard to explain. Because it’s the same level of brightness as a high end miniLED, but it’s OLED, the infinite contrast ratio and true black makes that miniLED brightness look extreme. I know miniLEDs need that brightness to help make the perceived contrast seem higher since they can’t achieve true black. So the backlight not being true black has an affect of the contrast ratio. Put that same brightness on true black OLED and it’s really gonna shine lol.

Those pacific rim shots I posted, this OLED looks like a damn miniLED tv. Whites pure. Extremely bright. It’s kinda weird lol.

That test was most likely taken at the same time they got the lower than average 10% window reading. Hopefully they retake all of the individual tests now that the panel has apparently awakened to hundreds of nits more after a pixel refresh.

Yeah on hold to schedule a replacement with Best Buy :/
If this will be the 3rd set from that Best Buy, maybe it’s best to avoid buying from them as that batch of inventory they received seems to have problems.

Yet the critics gloss over these type of comparisons and improvements only to find the most nitpickiest of issues lol.

They already did and posted the results in this thread. Same results on the hallway lights.

No, when my light strip on the back of my TV illuminates and lights up the back area, it makes the small gap between the stand and the bottom of the TV seem wider than it is.
