I bought this TV less than a week ago

and I've been reading about different panels that LG uses in there TVs

and I've been testing my TV, and till now I'm not sure what panel technology it uses.

Is it IPS, VA or TN panel?

I did some micro photos with my digital camera

and I need your help with that. (attached)

BTW this is my product code: 32LE5500 TA.AMIDLH

and I live in middle east, and LG products for this region differ slightly in specification.

Thank you,,

In your product code TA.AMIDLH you want a panel with a W in place of the D. The other characters do not matter. That will get you the IPS panel.

That's why I mentioned that I live in middle east

because I noticed a difference in product code, that's why I can't relay on that

because according to this thread: (reply #23)
http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-l...ls-placed.html

the "D" in my product code doesn't mean anything

e.g:

T=Miedlle East, Africa (Correct)

A=LH2000 LH3000 LH4000 LH5000 (???)

A=LGElectronics Korea (Correct)

MF=Middle East (But I got MI not MF!, could it be M alone?)

D=AU OPTRONICS CORP. TN!! or could it be I=???

L=???

H=???

but if LH=Korea, that's mean I can't relay on product code

because I have 8 digits and North America product code is 9 digits

+

D=TN not VA according to the thread

that's why I'm confused.
so I want to confirm my panel type based on the picture only

can that be done, please? (attached another photo
)

Sorry for asking to much, and for my ignorance.

Hi

I've been one of the unfortunate who got LG LE5500 VA panel

and I've discussed with the retailer to swap my brand new TV with the TV on display in the showroom which is IPS panel

is it worth doing so?
