Hi Guys,

I just found that LG's new LW9800 Nano Full LED 3d Passive TV, with 480hz TrueMotion TV.

I thought LG was going to launch 4K Next generation TV but instead they end up with new nano tech TV. Which doesn't seems to be an big uplift to the TV tech.

I think TV tech, where its getting very profitable with the sale of plasma, LCD, LED and new 3D innovative market. we can see some failures like Toshiba Cell TV and Mitsubishi Laservue...

Has anyone seen this TV??

As far as I know it hasn't been released yet. Think they are showing it in Germany in september and will probably reveal the release date then? Hopefully I'm wrong and they'll release it sooner.
Hey difficult, think your thread's 'gonna be the "bomb."..especially after lw9800's release date. /:)
Hey guys, I found the info about this tv from the official Lg website so presumed that this tv has been launched somewhere. Some guys I think have got their hands on it and so I wanted an opinion on it.

As Lg promised 4k nano tech 3d tv which I expected to be released quite soon mainly for the full 3d effect in full hd. Also, with picture upscaling effect, it would be a huge impact on the current tv tech available on the market.

Similar to Mitsubishi laservue tv, and Hitachi cell tv plan, Lgs 4k tv could be one of the dreams that could collapse mid way.

Moving forward with the improvements to passive 3d tech which is definitely the way forward in comparison to the current shutter active technology.

Will Lg, as pioneers in 3d passive technology who are considered to be the driving force for the market, with genuine improvements and launches such as the lw9800 be just a profit orientated launch or will there be decent and valuable technology behind it?

This model has already come under the scrutiny of tech critics who by the sound of things are not that impressed. What to expect then people?

Adorama has it on their site. 3.8k

Also Beach and J&R. 3k
So will tv have any improvement to the passive tech? For instance getting full 1920x1080 in 3D mode?
I really doubt if LG is going to solve all of its issue related from its first generation of Passive TVs.

First I will just remind you the main few issues, related with this tech,

1) Ghosting and Picture bending

2) Black lines in 3D Mode,

3) 3D mode offer only less then full HD 1080p resolution....

It appears LG doesn't keep all their web specs up to date. Reading the following, it states WiFi is built in:

just ask the 65LW6500 owners what they think of LG's web specs...240Hz, matte screen one posting...120Hz, glossy the next.

Put in my pre-order deposit today. Dealer said I'm the third person to pre-order this set with him.
