Pluto TV bills itself as the leading free streaming television service and now it is rolling out on LG's smart TVs. The app allows viewers to stream hundreds of linear channels for free and is available immediately on 2020 model LG smart TVs in the U.S., with plans to expand to other regions.

LG plans to roll out the Pluto TV app on its 2016 through 2019 smart TV models beginning this fall. A key functionality is that Pluto TV content will be available through LG Channels, which will integrate 99 Pluto TV channels.

August 4, 2020 (LOS ANGELES) -- Pluto TV, the leading free streaming television service in the U.S., today announced a global distribution deal with LG Electronics, bringing its award-winning platform with hundreds of premium linear channels to LG’s line-up of critically-acclaimed smart TVs. Pluto TV is now available on LG smart TV models (2020) in the U.S., with rollouts on 2016-2019 models to begin in Fall 2020. Expansion plans to other regions will be announced at a later date. Pluto TV currently has a global footprint spanning 22 countries across three continents.

Once fully integrated later this year, more than 99 Pluto TV channels will be available on LG smart TVs.
