I've been trying to research these screens for a while now. I am going to buy one or the other, and I cant figure out which one to get.

So far I have been able to figure out:

Panny

30k hours life

~8 billion colors

3000:1 contrast

has HDMI

LG

60k hours life

~1 billion colors

5000:1 contrast

has only DVI (no HDMI)

what input about these two can anyone give me? Thanks.

We've sold and installed quite a few 12X's. It is really a pretty nice panel. It's a little noisy (pic noise, not fan noise), and hard to get the color just right, but it has lot of features and a nice picture over all. Sorry, no experience with the Panny panel.

Actually, the Panasonic has a 60k half-life, not 30k. They are both nice sets but I prefer the Panasonic. In our showroom we actually have those two sets mounted one above the other so it's easy to compare them. The Panasonic has better black levels and overall a little nicer looking picture...but we do sell a lot of both sets.
