the menu system of the hd dvd. it will not implement it correctly. there may be issues as well with it ouputing true hd as well. there are some threads from people who have actually used the player if you search. It is not known at this time if they will fix this via firmware or just release a modle that is more complete at a later date from what I have read.


It is a good product in terms of evolving technology but for the price you can own two players and have all the functionality of each. I mean for $1199 you can easily find both a hd-dvd player and a blu-ray player. hd-a2 and bdp1000 will only set you back 1k. hd-a2 and the ps3 20gb will only set you back $900.


If they can fix the issues and drop the price to $800-$850 it would be worth looking at.
