LG new L.E.D models.

Greetings,

I have currently seen an LG 42LB5D new TV model. This model does have a 5ms R.T however it does not have 120 Hz. I was wondering if the model name, specifically the "LB" means L.E.D backlight. Does anybody know, or has anybody seen any L.E.D backlit TV's in retail ?

THank you.

Based on LG's PR in January 2007, it seems only the LY series models will feature 120 Hz TruMotion, as well as 92% wide color gamut.

I don't believe LB has any meaning other than as a model designation -- L could signify L in LG or L in LCD. LG has LC, LB, and LY lines of LCDs.

LG hasn't announced anywhere that they are using LED backlighting.

They announced at CES a 1,000,000:1 contrast LED LCD to be released this year.

There has been absolutely zero information on it after that.
