I just got a lg sound plate 540, the manual says hook hdmi from sky box to the hdmi in port then the out hdmi port to the TV if I'm right but all I get is sound though the sound plate but no picture on TV. TV is a Panasonic

You may have to select the source on the tv (which HDMI input the soundbar is connected to).
