My parents have an LG tv that always asks to set the mode for either home or demo. It never used to but for some reason now it always does. The model is 42lg30. Anyone know how to stop this from coming up?

I don't own LG but Have you tried resetting it to default?

Ya it doesnt work. I think it started happening after my bro setup the sound.

Call LG customer support, it's probably just a setting. Make sure you are saving once you select home mode too.

It's also called "Retail" mode.

Try a reset through the service menu.

Hi Kreuger, I am wondering if the problem is because your bro connected the TV power cord to a power conditioner/surge protector or power strip. If yes, run the TV directly into the wall outlet to see if the issue still happen after selecting Home mode.
