I am interested in getting an HDTV Tuner with PVR for both ATSC and QAM unscrambled cable with firewire output. It appears that the LST-3410A is perfect in every regard, except I need component output. It does not have that. Coincidentally enough, their non-PVR version LST-3100A does.

I want to be able to get all digital HD stations over the air, or through my cable company, and have the ability to use firewire to my PC for archiving. Yah, component output is a must too.

Any other choices that fit all these things?

The 3100A doesn't have firewire out... The 3410A does have component outs per the picture of the back of it in the manual, not sure if that's accurate or not...

The LG-LST3410A has component video output, as well as FireWire.

Huh? They don't say that on the LG web page, but thanks!! It looks like a winner now.

I'm using mine with a Toshiba RPTV connected via component video and a Mitsubishi DVHS deck connected via FireWire (for archiving) with excellent results. The 1080i picture via component is outstanding, and the remote allows you to alter the aspect ratio of the image (regardless of whether its SD or HD) to suit your needs. As for its QAM tuning capabilities, I can receive all of the unscrambled digital channels from Comcast (they scramble everything except the digital music channels and the HD locals). OTA reception is excellent.
