I just got a 52" Toshiba Regza and there is slight clouding(backlight bleeding) in the corners and a little in the center of the screen. It is only really noticeable when the completely black or when credits are rolling. Its not really a problem, just more annoying than anything else, seeing that i paid alot for it. Tomorrow is my last day to return it. Is it common enough in Regza's that i would just be rolling a dice returning it for another? I spent a couple hours calibrating it and setting it up and really dont want to go through all that again, not to mention hauling it back to the store. Im just at a loss as to what i should do. Thanks

its a pretty common problem not only with VA panel Toshiba models but with other brands on the market today like sony and samsung.

returning it for another one could result in a better, worse or the same but i doubt you will end up with one completely free of the problem.

In my opinion the biggest lcd problem,i 'solved' this by only using a part of the screen

(14:9 viewing)and when watching movies in the dark i cover up the upper side (black bars)of the screen ,

I own a 46xbr8,i can see the clouding and leaking but only because my eyes are kind of trained, most owners can not see it,

this has to do with xbr8's great blacks and 46/55xbr8's LED Dynamic Control.

Bring it back and buy another flatscreen at the same store that gives you a some time to look for a better model also plasma could be a option(lcd and plasma are not perfect!).

Before you buy another flatscreen be better informed.
