Can anyone recommend good lighted movie poster frames? Or suggest against any? I want to get my husband one for his birthday, but I want to make sure it's a good one.

The vast majority of those links are simply BASS Industries resellers at various prices. I have a BASS poster marquee and am very happy with it (I did get an incredible price, so that may affect my opinion

). Build quality is excellent. Be sure you know what type of power cabling you want and are getting. There are three types available, hard wired, so it is directly wired into your homes wiring and controlled by a switch (like a wallscone), cabled (like mine) which simply plugs into an outlet, so the only way to turn it off or on is to unplug it or have a switched outlet, and the last type has a built in switch on the exterior of the lightbox (like a lamp).

I didn't even think of the power. I would love if it was a switched outlet, but it's not. I suspect I would want a built-in switch.


So I should look for Bass Industries frames? Thank you.

Bass isn't the only player in town, just the most common and makes quality lightboxes. Like I said, most of those links listed and dealers you will come across are for sites that are actually Bass distributors. The hollywoodmarquees site makes their own though I have never seen them in person (pics look nice on the site). One maker that I personnally don't care for is River City Lightboxes. To me they look cheap and poorly constructed, although they are cheap so I guess you pay for what you get. Just my opinion.

Zombie thread!!!

I purchased 2 frames from River City Theaters . I found them through another forum member, anotherboat12 who is somehow connected to the company.


Their frames are well made, easy to change the posters (once you get the hang of them), and extremely well priced - I think they are the least expensive lighted frames out there.
