hi, i know this is not a great projector but i have a chance to pick it up for under $500...is it capable of line doubling?i saw theres a plus version but when i checked it all specs were same as the "regular" version.according to dvdo website the plus probly can be line doubled..should i assume as much for the "regular"?anybody own this projector?how is it?for me it could be perfect as to i only watch movies on weekend..so short bulb life doesn't bother me.

I would stay away from the 800. It is a single panel LCD- the colors are blah. Do a search on Ebay and look for a Lightware L-1020. This is a 3 LCD panel XGA and they are going very cheap as well. This is one hell of a projector for the money. Even though the contrast ratio is rated at only 150 to one it actually has fabulous blacks and amazing colors and contrast. I really like this projector when hooked up to a HTPC.
