lightware vp800..opinions plz?

hi, i'm looking for my first projector for home theater use and was wondering what are opinions in this projector?i will use projector strictly in dark situation and the short bulb life doesn't bother me.mainly concerned with picture quality..source by me sells these units for $500, and from my understanding(DVDO website) they can be line doubled.mainly dvd's and satellite viewing.
