Has anybody installed the following software on a Mythtv setup. It has a 1023 band EQ.

I have that software, but not for MythTV. I use the EQ for equalizing electric guitar (to emulate what guitar amps usually do), and it works well.

If you don't already have JACK, you will need it.

What does JACK, do? I hoping I can route my HT Audio into this software and use the EQ. Do you no if this is possible?

JACK is an audio system that makes it easier to route audio to and from where it need to be. Many audio programs like XMMS can output the audio directly to JACK. Using the JACK control panel, you then connect the outputs from XMMS to the inputs of JAMin, and the outputs of JAMin to the main outputs.
