Hmmm, it's getting to be that most of the latter day Disney hits will have been shown in HD...Just Aladdin, and Little Mermaid to go...

The press release clearly indicates that it will be in HDTV.

Which sound mix will be used? I have yet to hear it, but apparently the HT-Mix is very impressive.

Eww, why the Special Edition? The theatrical version is much better. The Special Ed version has new artwork that looks pasted in, new sound effects that don't fit and cover up the music, and that boring new song that doesn't advance the story and you can't even hear much of, since characters are talking over the top of it.


Still, the HD quality of animated shows is generally pretty darn amazing (Tarzan is jaw-dropping), so I'll watch it.

Great news!!

I doubt I'll be watching however since the overwhelming commercial interruptions outweigh the benefit of the improved PQ. Too darn many for me to stomach.


Now if ABC could get a sponsor to pony up for a "Commercial free sponsored by...." deal then I'd cancel all other plans to make this event.

Nice to have it available though and ABC should be applauded.
