I thought Bluetooth in general is inferior to WiFi. Plenty of AVRs support WiFi based streaming such as BluOS and HeOS and other DLNA based protocols.

I want to use BT 5 in the evenings so I do not disturb others. Also my family room is large and 2 story and the audio reproduction on some TV shows in this room isn't the best no matter how much I spend on speakers. Thus paired sets of BT 5 headphones using an advanced codec would be quite useful. Being a baby boomer also likely means my ears are not quite as good as they used to be!! Most AVR Owner manuals will list the Bluetooth version and codec in the back of the manual. Denon and Marantz and Onkyo 2019 models feature Version 4.1 while Yamaha models feature Version 4.2 so won't see Version 5.0 any earlier than next year's 2020 models. On Denon/Marantz 2019 models, there will be a future firmware update to be able to stream audio to BT headphones. Below is from a Denon Owner manual.I have been spending many hours pouring through the specs of AVRs and seldom do they mention if they have BT 5 capability. And what codecs they use.
I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of such a database or list?
Thanks
