So Lite-On announced the LVW-5005 dvd recorder at CES this year and based on what I am reading, it doesnt seem like it is a major hardware upgrade. However, the unit does add -r/rw support to the currently supported +r/rw support as well as cd-r/rw burning.
In reading some of the forums on the Lite-On site, there seems to be a consensus that Lite-On could basically turn a 5001 model into a 5005 model with a firmware upgrade. Is this possible?
Also, anyone have any idea as to when the 5005 will be released?
