Welcome to AVS. We're a big site so finding where to post had be a bit confusing at first. Some tips: first, you really want the General HT/Media forum for non-dedicated theater construction advise. Second, for speaker related questions, try searching the speaker forums for a thread on your particular brand of speakers.

My advice is if you are happy with the tv you have and want a true Theater in the Home visual experience you should consider buying a projector and screen. While they keep getting bigger no television on the consumer market today can delivera Home Theater experience.

We have a nice tv - 56in 1080p - it can't give the "at the movies" feeling.

You will not be sorry if you step up from tv to Home Theater (if Theater is what you want).

goodluck

Will the room have windows? Will you be using the display during the day? A front projector may not throw an acceptable image in this kind of an environment. If you need to accomodate daytime viewing without blackout curtains over the windows, you might want to keep your rear projection set and add a projector and an electric screen that drops down in front of the TV. Use the rear-pro set for casual daytime viewing and break out the projector when you're ready to settle in for a theater experience.
