Local channels included in Verizon FiOS packages?

Hopefully this is the correct subforum, but I am moving very soon and need to select a new cable plan for my new residence or whether I want to stick my current one. I have an old grandfathered plan with Prime HD that includes free Showtime. The newest comparable plan from FiOS is Preferred HD but I don't see any of the local channels--CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX or CW included; they are greyed out in the lineup comparison tool.

Is this a mistake or can someone confirm that this plan does not actually carry any locals? Would be much obliged for any info. Sadly there is no longer a channel lineup comparison which will compare this now defunct plan with the current offerings for me.

Probably best to ask in the Local Reception area for the market to which you're moving. This area is for the discussion of programs.

Then, again, you could just call the office in the targeted community and ask which local channels they carry. :)

As a Verizon Fios customer, I can tell you that local channels are included in all packages. This is a requirement of retransmission costs to the local broadcasters.

There's a Select HD which is only the local channels, then it goes up from there for what cable channels and how many of them are included.

I am not aware of any disputes currently, although this may vary by market. Being in larger markets, there's a lot of O&O's, but I am in a Hearst/Sinclair/Nexstar/Tribune now Tegna market. We've got all our locals currently, and aren't under any threat to lose more of them at the moment.
