would i be likely to find a local provider (kc area) of a component -> vesa adapter to go from comcast cable box to x1, or will i need to order online? as i am a little impatient, would just as soon pick one up versus waiting...


also (newbie question) what's the difference between vga and vesa?

I don't know if you'd find the actual InFocus adapter, but you might find something that would work equally well.


A pre-built cable that goes from an HD15 (VGA) connector to 5 BNC connectors is fairly common, and it can be used together with 3 BNC to RCA adapters (you only need to use the Red/Green/Blue wires for the X1).


I found everything I needed at a local electronic parts wholesale/retail store (ie. not Radio Shack... somewhere that sells parts in bulk). The price for the cable and adapters came to about the same as getting the InFocus adapter and shipping.
