I posted a thread earlier in the HDTV Programming Forum, but also thought it appropriate to post here.

AtlantaDTV.org was founded to promote and encourage DTV and HDTV growth. To that end, we have created a web site that has a fairly elementary description ("what", "why", and "how") of DTV. As a disclaimer, we realize that this is at a level below the average AVS Forum member. But, it is aimed at those who are totally new to DTV and HDTV. We've gone for an accurate, if not comprehensive or too technical description. The hope is that potential DTV/HDTV converts will be pointed to this site to learn about the benefits of DTV.

Of relevance to the HDTV Hardware Forum is the Atlanta Reception Experiences page. Here, we have listed (and will add more) actual reception experiences of people in and around Atlanta: what equipment they use or tried and what has worked in terms of antennas and mountings.

There is also an HDTV Schedule to help potential DTV adopters see how much HDTV content is available.

We hope to promote our site locally (in Atlanta) for retailers to use in their own and customers' education about DTV. Plus, it can serve as a resource for people who have or are purchasing equipment in determining what type of reception strategies have worked for others.

We encourage others to join our grass-roots effort at promoting DTV and HDTV. We would be happy to help provide content to others who want to do something similar in other cities. Just contact us.

Though small, this is our effort to help us all get better DTV service from Networks, Affiliates, and Manufacturers by increasing the number of DTV and HDTV viewers.

Your constructive comments are welcome.
