I'm pretty new to the whole plasma screen HDTV stuff. And to be honest I'm quite overwhelmed by all the info that is available. I went to a home theatre store yesterday and saw both the Loewe 42" and the Pioneer Elite 43". I found the Loewe to have excellent color compared to the pioneer, but the salesman also said that the pioneer had been on the floor for some months while the Loewe hadn't. Since it appears that Loewe is getting out of the us market, the price of the Loewe was about the same as the Pioneer elite. So my question is, what are your impressions of these two TVs? Advantages and dissadvantages of both would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I had to decide between the Loewe 42 HD and the Fujitsu 42 HD plasma. This is for my bedroom system. I finally went with the Loewe due to the color reproduction and how the set handles DVD's and standard broadcast TV. Most all set's I've found look great with HD so I tested these set's with DVD and SDTV. The Loewe internal electronic are superior and they do 3:2 pull down quite well.

BTW Loewe IS NOT getting out of the US market. They are just changing distributers and big things are to come.
