From what I can tell, that's a pretty damned good price. I may surprise the hell out of my fiancee tonight. Any reason I shouldn't?

If its the newer version that can accept 480p and 1080i through its component input than definitely go for it. Even if its the older one still go for it because that's a great deal. The 9303 PB retails for $3400 so coming out pretty good regardless. Is it new or used?

How can I find out the date of the model?

The manufactured date is printed on the back of the set in small text on the square label (not the rectangular one that lists the serial and model number) that says made in Germany at the top. I'm only, so specific because most people can't seem to find it if you just tell them its on the back of the set.


If the set is still in its shipping box you can't tell the manufactured date, but generally either the shipped date from Germany or the received date here in the US is printed on the box, so its manufactured date probably is with in 3 to 4 months of that.


From what I've found the newer version 9303 seems to start with one's manufactured on or after November 2001.
