First Generation Loewe Calida owners need help from Sensory Science, the dealer community, and/or AVSForum.

Goal: To be able to watch DVDs in progressive scan, HDTV, and Windows desktop computers without buying a new television.

Using the VGA 480p input on the Calida with an external switching box (readily available, ~$200), we need to be able to "scale" the VGA 480p input on the fly. Either we need to activate auto-anamorph for the VGA Input (like Video 1 S-Video) or provide a way to manually set scaling for:

Component DVD Player - usually 16x9, sometimes 4x3 (owners will deal with converting component video to RGB)

HDTV Set Top Box - usually 16x9, sometimes 4x3 (one with an RGB output)

Windows Desktop Computer - Always 4x3 640x480 (RGB VGA output)

How can this be accomplished with the first generation Loewe Calida TVs? What settings need to be changed in the Service menu? How do we make it so that we can easily change from 4x3 to 16x9 as program material requires?
