I own a RCA F-38310 which has same tube as your Loewe Aconda, I have used 3 different brands of DVD players in component and s-video connection with my superb unit. I have never had a problem with picture fade during an DVD, VHS, or digital choice cable TV. I use www.bettercables.com for connection of DVD players Webtv and use cable companie F-type connectors for watching digital cable tv. Best of luck.
