just curious as to everybody's thoughts ..after returning to the b1's from the ascend cbm 170's i decided that i want the sound sig of the emo but better detail and definition..just curious as to any input from b1 owners (and anybody really).. thanks for any thoughts...

What happened to the 170s? Why the switch back?

What price range are you looking at? What about the Chane's A1.5 ? A real treat would be Chane's A2.4

i was just messing around with the 170's , i use them as centers and like them..they are a bit too much for my room set up (for music) , they come off as forward..chane might be a good fit , but i'm looking a bit higher end ..that would be a more sideways move i think.. i was thinking sierra 1, nht c3 as a start..maybe ls 50 , if i can find a deal .. maybe dynaudio ...

that's a decent starting point.. i just want to avoid anything resembling shouty..a bit bright doesn't phase me..

no chane for me .. i consider them a sideways move.. and other factors i won't go into.. totem sounds like an idea .. and yes , books only right now.. thanks...edit.. just saw the totem measurements , looks too treble heavy for my taste.. i'm more into smooth , that rising treble from about 5k hz scares me a bit..

JBL 530 or KEF Q150 would be my thinking as well. Preference for the former if you prefer neutrality yet with detail.
