Just got my logitech MX bluetooth keyboard and mouse setup yesterday. The computer will not boot up when the USB/keyboard connectors are connected. The computer will hang up on the loading screen. If I disconnect them, and restart, the computer will start fine. I can then connect them and start using the mouse and keyboard. Needless to say, this is irritating. Has anybody experienced this problem? I'm using an HP Athlon 3000+ with Windows XP and SP1 (haven't gotten around to upgrading to SP2, but might give this a shot this afternoon). I haven't posted to logitech's site yet because I need the model numbers and all that (I'm at work), but will do this later if nobody here has any ideas.

Daberk,

Get into the MB bios and make sure that the USB Legacy is enabled. I have a Gyration keyboard and mouse and needed to enable the USB Legacy in the MB Bios for the keyboard and mouse to work at startup.

Where does the boot process hang? Are there any error messages? Have you installed any drivers? Have you uninstalled the drivers?

I have a logitech Bluetooth kb/mouse on my HTPC and I'm only using the windows drivers on XPSP1. SP2 is scary. You might try getting to safe mode and looking through the device mgr for clues. Also check the event log for info.

good luck. :)
