Hi, i'm trying to find out what the connection type is that connects the speakers to the subwoofer is called on the Logitech X-230 series, the one that resembles a small vga connector.

And if this is a standard connection used by other manufacturers as i want to replace my subwoofer, and if you have any recommendations for a new subwoofer, thanks for any help.

The subwoofer box your Logitech uses contains the amplifier and electronics that drive the rest of the speakers. You're either going to need to get the unit repaired, or replace it.

If your Logitech is like my Z-series 2.1 unit, it's probably a DB-9 connector. If the only problem you have is a frayed/damaged connector, you can buy replacements at Radio Shack. Take your old connector with you, so you can be sure of getting the right one.
