Some manufacturers (like Yamaha and Onkyo) love to put all those logos right on page 1 next to the receiver. Other ones (like Pioneer and Denon) seem to almost ignore the logos on the web site. I'm sure they all have the logos plastered all over the boxes.


It seems like they all have the same stuff. Do they really need the HDMI logo in 2011?


Does the THX logo mean anything other than a check to George? And maybe a specific crossover level...

That doesn't bother me as much as when they put stickers on the receivers.

It's a shortcut for features. Some might be pointless, but not all. For example, Pandora tells you it can play music off the Pandora service, a nice feature.

Its advertising. Tehy pay to use these features and part of that is that have to advertise for them.


THX is more then just a payoff to Lucas but of course you wouldnt pay Lucas to certify your entry lever receiver either I hope.
