long throw: hx2 vs ae700

Looking for a long throw LCD or DILA projector that offers great performance for the dollar. Anyone have any comments on whether the hx2 justifies the price premium over the ae700?

In particular, I'd like to be able to have an 80 inch wide screen from a 9 foot distance (16 ft throw with viewing seat 7' from the rear wall) as opposed to a 70" wide screen. If I went with the ae700, I wouldn't go any wider than 70" - about 1.6 times the screen width but with the added resolution and less screendoor of the hx2, could I go with the 80" screen from that distance?

Best I can tell from the HX2 screen calculator is from 16 feet the minimum screen size would be about 86" diagonal.

You can down load the calculator ftom JVC and try it :

Hey Steve, the dimensions I quoted were width, not diagonal, so I think I'll be OK. Just not sure which projector to get and whether I can get away with a larger screen with the HX1 because of reduced pixelation.
