Has anyone ever tried or is currently using a projector with a "add on" long throw lens along with a anamorphic lens? There are numerous new projectors on the market with throw ranges too short for my install. There are some great quality aftermarket long throw lens' available to solve the throw ratio problem, but would that prevent or have adverse effects on using a anamorphic lens as well?
Want to do a CH setup with a 120" wide 2.35 ratio screen with a throw of about 246". Cedia showed some excellent long throw lens' from Germany but I have never seen anyone comment on using one in a CH Anamorphic set-up. Any thoughts, advice, etc. greatly appreciated.
....other than a staggering blow to your wallet, I would think the combination should work fine. The more glass in the light path means a slight deterioration to contrast and light output, but only slight.
