Hi all. Been lurking for years. Built a 5.1 system from the speaker company based on reviews here, and elsewhere.


I just bought a house and am I'm the planning stages. I'm looking at monoprice for in wall 7.1. Any other alternatives in the price range, or thoughts?


Also typing on a phone because I damaged myself moving. please excuse punctuation errors.

Room size and seating distance also helpful.


(BTW, listening preference means music vs HT/surround.)

Sorry for the delayed reply...what can I say, ice storm.


Budget about 1000 not including subs.


Room is 20 x 20 but open on two sides.


I have 3 yo that is awesome, but rambunctious, so in walls are needed.


Seating distance is varied. I have a 42" for everyday tv and installing a drop down screen/projector for movies.

I should add that speaker budget is just for speakers. I already have plenum wire, banana plugs, lv brackets etc...
