Longer throw BenQ

I've been reading this forum for over a year now in order to prepare for the home theater I'm currently setting up.


All I can say is this is absolutely the best site around for information on home theaters.


I'm down to final projector selection time. I've seen many over the last year with varying degrees of PQ and price. One of the very best PQ vs price is the BenQ 8700. I was surprised at the PQ and even more surprised that it was priced at half the cost of units with comparable PQ!


The only problem is for the room I'm putting it in the throw is a little too short. Especially with a ceiling that's about 6' 10" finished.


Do they make a longer throw lens for that projector?


If they don't offer a long throw range I might have to unfortunately look at something else that will most likely be more expensive.
