I am looking for a good set of speakers to pair with my recently purchased Denon AVR-1610. I came across this ad on the local craigslist and wanted to get some feedback (see next post for hyperlink):

E-mail lower offers or trades. Ask yourself..... If I were selling these speakers would I take that offer? Before sending it.

It looks like they were purchased sometime in the mid-90's but from my research most people seem to say that older speakers still perform well as long as they were not abused. Is this a decent price? Anything else I should look/listen for when inspecting them?

If they are in good working order and not all beat up then I think that they are worth $200. Offer him $175.

Not the best speaker ever made by Klipsch, but they are certainly worth $200 for the set. They will last you many many more years.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I ended up picking them up for $150. They are a pretty big step up in both sound and build quality from the KLH setup I have been using. Now I just need to find a sub...
