Looking for 5.1.2 receiver recommendations

My sub looks to be broken so I'm taking the opportunity to upgrade my setup. I have a full ELAC Debut 2.0 set(F6.2 fronts) along with a HSU VTF-2 MK5 on the way. My current HTR-4065 only supports 5.1 so I need to upgrade it. I also want to be ready when I find a good LG OLED sale. :D

My budget is around $500 but I can stretch to around $1000 if there's good reason. I can't decide whether to worry about HDMI 2.1 and the associated hassles or just get something with 2.0 and deal with 2.1 in a few years once everything has settled down. I don't currently have a use case for HDMI 2.1.

What would you recommend? Thanks.

Forgot to clarify. I don't care about BT, Wifi, etc. I just want the best picture and sound I can get for my budget. I have a Roku that I do all of my streaming with and once I get a 4k tv I'll be picking up a UHD player.
Yamaha Rx v4a , Rx v6a etc good models .
Denon avr 540bt is 299$ good value

The TSR-700 which is the Costco version of the V6A is what I'm currently considering. Just not sure if there's a better option considering all of the current 2.1 issues going on with the V6A.
The Yamaha TSR-700 is available at Costco well under your $500 budget. It comes and goes from their website but is available at this moment. Jump on it now before it goes away.

You think there's nothing really to be gained by increasing my budget? I'd also been considering the Onkyo TX-NR595 from Costco as it's priced the same as the Yamaha. I saw some recommend the Costco Denon but I don't see that on the site and haven't been the store to see if they have any in stock.
If you spend more money you can get a 9.channel receiver. But if you're limiting yourself to 7.1 or 5.1.2 the Yamaha or Onkyo is fine, no need to spend any more.

Any recommendations between the two?
I bought the Denon s750 but it is no longer on Costco's website. I had the Yamaha but it has HDMI 2.1 bugs that still need to be fixed. Since I'm not a gamer I didn't need those features anyway so I returned it. Never owned or used the Onkyo so I have no opinion about it.
I also recommend TSR-700 - I had bought it for 329.99 from Costco, but returned it as I got a deal on refurb X3600H and I needed 9 channels eventually for 5.2.4 capabilities. For the time I kept TSR-700 I liked it. I did not care for the 8K or other gaming related features as they were not on my priority list. Costco also has a great return policy. I suggest yo give it a go. For someone looking for a 7.2 receiver TSR-700 is solid choice. While I have not tried, I have read that even gaming issues are circumvented by hooking the consoles via TV.
Whelp, since no one else has replied, I'll give the Yamaha a try. Hopefully my ELAC will arrive soon.

Thanks.

After looking at everything else going on with the new HDMI chips I've decided to return the Yamaha and just stick with my current 5.1 receiver. My speakers still haven't even shipped so I'll just wait until later this year when I find a deal on a 4k tv and the chip situation has stabilized.
