I found this one from ebay, what you guys think? Sorry not allow to link it.

For the price, I can almost get a compact labtop though

I was looking at the Philips PET1030 as well but I read that it displays a "pop up" each time the chapter changes. Apparently this "feature" cannot be turned off.

That's a deal breaker for me.

Otherwise it looked like the perfect player to take on the road.

edit: I just found that there is a firmware update for this purpose!

last july i bought an audiovox port. dvd player, model #02011, 10" screen, w aux vid/audio inputs (using old vcr as tuner) mainly to use as a tv set as my 25 yr old panny 13" crt had just died. i still use it every day for news, mash; stuff i mostly listen to instead of actually watching.

i have hd pj for more 'serious' viewing.

this port. works ok, nothing to brag about pq/aq wise. not bright enough, little contrast, barely tolerable. but for my purposes its fine.

i wouldnt recommend this player. 'lessen yer desp'rate.
