Mostly shoot airplane videos, need to be able to put a filter .
75% outside fully sunny, 25% inside cockpit
Was looking into the Cannon HF G 20
Any good?

You might want to consider the $998 Sony AX33.

It has a 52mm filter thread, a viewfinder and 4 times the resolution of a 1080p camera.

In my view, 1080p cameras such as the the HF G20 are not a very good investment at this point in time.
